Spectacular vintage late 1940’s princess coat by by Marki for Jordan Marsh is fashioned from taupe-y brown wool gabardine. Black Persian lamb fur accents the collar and sleeve cuffs. The collar is stitched together at the sides to form interesting pleats. The dolman sleeves have deeply cut armholes and taper to a slim fit at the cuff. The coat closes with two buttons and bound buttonholes, one at the collar and one at the waist. There is also an inner waist tie. The coat is completely lined in taupe embroidered satin and there is a padded cotton interlining for added warmth. There are heavy cotton shoulder pads. This is a tiny size – please allow enough ease to wear over other garments.
